Greenhouse System
Irrigation system for greenhouses in Lazio
Hydraulic verification of an existing irrigation system near Aprilia (Lazio) serving greenhouses (which occupy an area of approximately 90 hectares). The power supply is guaranteed by a pump inside a well and the system is equipped with a fertigation system and filters.
The Project
The dispensing devices are sprinklers with a flow rate of 300 litres/hour and approximately 5 meters of throw for irrigating broad-leaved vegetables
Project objective
Modify the existing system by adding new devices and reducing the relative pitch in order to improve the rainfall distribution and obtain a more homogeneous distribution not only along the lateral pipe but also between one pipe and the adjacent one. The hydraulic simulation also verified that the modification is compatible with the pressure and flow conditions of the source.
